Alison Doody
Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actress. Her feature film debut was a tiny role in her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Other roles include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was a model when she was approached by an aspiring photographer. She has since evolved into commercial modelling. Doody was very strict about not doing glamour or nude work. The rule was extended to Doody's acting work. In 1985, following receiving notice from the directors who were casting an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody appeared on John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising new actors for 1986. 38. Doody, who was only 18 at the time she portrayed Doody in the movie A prayer for the dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke. Doody is the tiniest Bond girl to be seen. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 film adaptation to The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main role of Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking possibly her most famous role to date in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. Then she moved to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson's part. Doody then appeared as Flannery Sheen's wife and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II became available in 1994. Doody's first appearance on the screen was in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in the role of a brief. In 2004, she starred in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 publication about the Holocaust. Doody filming a character in the film of Danny Dyer, The Rapture. Doody was later a guest on the medical drama of RTE The Clinic and was set to appear in a remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project ended up being cancelled. In 2011, she started the first season of two on E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014 she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. Almeria the tierra de cinema award, and an Almeria walk of fame star were awarded on the 21st of November, 2018.
